 Temporary Office Administrative Assistant

Experienced Field Service Technician Position Available

Freedom Business Machines, Inc., a Canon Authorized Dealer, is seeking experienced copier/printer/fax/scanner field service technicians to join our team. We provide a total solution environment for our clients. We have been servicing the tri-state area from beautiful Sussex County since 1983.

Candidates MUST have previous experience servicing copiers and printers. We are seeking individuals who enjoy teamwork, possess a good work ethic and excellent communication skills. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.

Basic Duties Include:
- Providing high quality technical support to our customer base
- Communicating with customers and sales representatives to ensure satisfaction
- Troubleshooting and developing options to best meet our client’s needs
- Diagnosing, maintaining, repairing and installation office equipment systems (copiers/printer/fax/scanners)
- Basic networking of office equipment (setting up IP address, downloading & installing print drivers, providing customer training on print & scan functions) - please note that this is not an IT position but rather a technician position which requires some knowledge of networking and PC's
- Perform software upgrades to equipment to ensure optimum performance


Qualifications:
- 2+ years of field service experience on multifunctional office equipment
- Canon certification (imageRunner line) preferred, other manufacturer's certification will also be considered
- Education or experience in electronic/mechanical repair field
- Thorough knowledge and ability to apply computer technology to customer & company requirements for networked products and systems solutions
-Ability to lift 75+ pounds and be in mobile activity for extended periods of time (lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, moving large objects)
-PC literacy and strong understanding of basic network concepts
-Must hold a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record
- A+ or similar network certifications a plus! (Please note: this is NOT an IT position)

Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week, full time)

Freedom Business Machines, Inc. currently has an opening to fill the maternity leave of our full time office administrator/resource manager. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming a permanent opportunity within the company for the right candidate, depending on need.

There will be a training period of several weeks of part-time work, followed up by the actual leave coverage for approx. 8-10 weeks of full time hours. Hourly compensation will increase at the end of the part-time training period. As this is a temporary position, there is no holiday or time off compensation available. Also, please note that there will be no approved time off allowed at any time during this period. Office hours are from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. The approximate dates of work will be February 21, 2012 through the end of June 2012, with the full time work being from the middle of April to the end of June. Actual dates will be determined as the information becomes available.


Some of the key job duties/skills required are as follows:


> Answering multiple phone lines

> Greeting and assisting clients in our office/showroom
> Creating various professional documents in MS Office 2010 & 2003 including Word, Publisher, and Excel
(examples include; letters, forms, marketing materials, sales proposals, service estimates, contracts, spreadsheets, price lists, etc.)
> Maintaining AP/AR in QuickBooks Pro 2011
> Billing of service work, supply orders, and contracts (QB Pro)
> Receiving, ordering, and tracking of parts, supplies, and equipment
> UPS WorldShip software for outgoing shipments
> Create and respond to email inquiries in a professional manner
> Use the internet for research, marketing, communication, orders, and education
> Relay and track service information with/for our service department
> Research sales and service inquiries
> Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and must have a sense of urgency
> Must be able to work both independently and with others
> Working knowledge & understanding of various PC & Mac operating systems and familiarity with installing
   printers, file sharing, basic networking, and scanning a plus but not required
> Experience in the office equipment industry a plus but not required
